Ingredientes

  • 1 ¼ Taza de azúcar blanca
  • ½ Taza de agua
  • 12 Onzas de cranberries (congeladas, frescas o secas)
  • 12 Onzas de manzana tipo gala (sin piel y picaditas en cubitos, bañadas con un poco de limón)
  • 1 Cebolla blanca (picadita en cubos)
  • ½ Taza de pasas
  • ½ Taza de azúcar crema
  • ¼ De taza de vinagre de sidra
  • 1 Cucharadita de canela
  • ¼ De cucharadita de sal
  • 1/8 De cucharadita de malagueta en polvo
  • 1/8 Cucharadita de clavo dulce en polvo
  • ½ Taza de nueces picadas y tostadas

Preparación

  1. En una sartén a fuego medio, agregar el azúcar blanca con el agua y dejar hervir.
  2. Reducir el fuego y dejar que se vaya reduciendo (más o menos unos 3 minutos)
  3. Agregar con cuidado los cranberries, las manzanas, la cebolla, las pasas, el azúcar crema, el vinagre, la canela, sal, malagueta y clavo dulce
  4. Vuelva al fuego, baje a fuego bajo y deje espesar (que tome consistencia de mermelada) más o menos por unos 20 minutos
  5. Justo antes de servir se le agregan las nueces picadas
  6. Puede servirse a temperatura ambiente o frío.
