Crema de zanahoria, naranja y tomillo

Ingredientes

  • 500 g de zanahoria
  • 30 g de mantequilla
  • ½ taza de zumo de naranja
  • 4 o 5 tazas de caldo de verduras
  • 1 cebolla pequeña, picada gruesa
  • 3 o 4 cucharaditas de tomillo fresco picado, o 1 cucharadita si está seco
  • Sal y pimienta al gusto
  • Crema agria
  • Nuez moscada

Preparación

  1. Pele las zanahorias y córtelas en rodajas.
  2. Derrita la mantequilla en una sartén de fondo grueso y rehogue las zanahorias a fuego medio durante 10 minutos, removiendo de vez en cuando.
  3. Agregue el zumo de naranja, el caldo y la cebolla, y deje hervir; luego incorpore el tomillo, la sal y la pimienta.
  4. Tape y deje cocer unos 20 minutos o hasta que las zanahorias se ablanden.
  5. Retire del fuego y déjelo enfriar.
  6. Lleve la mezcla a la batidora en pequeñas tandas hasta obtener una pasta suave y sin grumos.
  7. Una vez lista, vuelva a calentarla en la sartén.
  8. Sirva en platos individuales y cubra cada uno con una cucharada de nata agria espolvoreada con nuez moscada.
  9. Para decorar, puede ponerle una ramita de tomillo.
