Ingredientes

  • ½ libra de harina de trigo
  • 1 taza de mantequilla
  • ½ taza de azúcar morena
  • 4 yemas de huevo y 3 huevos
  • 1 cucharada polvo de hornear
  • ½ taza de leche
  • Pétalos de rosa caramelizados para decorar (opcional).
  • ½ taza de azúcar
  • 6 cucharadas de miel líquida
  • 3 cucharadas de ron
  • 1 libra de macadamias picadas y tostadas
  • 4 cucharadas de extracto de vainilla.
  • Sal al gusto.

Preparación

  1. Preparacion de la masa: Para hacer la masa, unir todos los ingredientes a la vez, ya sea con una batidora o mezclados a mano.
  2. Una vez hecha la masa, se envuelve en papel transparente y se mete en el frigorífico durante una hora.
  3. Precalentar el horno a una temperatura de 300ºF.
  4. Extender la masa sobre una superficie enharinada y forrar con ella un recipiente para pasteles previamente engrasado, para que no se pegue.
  5. Preparacion del relleno: Para el relleno, batir los huevos y mezclarlos con el azúcar.
  6. Aparte, fundir la mantequilla y unirla a los demás ingredientes del relleno, incluyendo una pizca de sal y la vainilla.
  7. Mezclar todo muy bien.
  8. Verter el relleno en el molde, llevarlo al horno y hornear durante unos 15 minutos; luego bajar la temperatura del horno y dejar hornear durante unos 30 minutos más.
  9. Servimos tibia con una bola de helado de vainilla.
