Ingredientes

  • 12 Rebanas de pan de molde
  • 1 ½ Taza de salsa tomate
  • 1 Taza de queso cheddar rallado
  • 1 Taza de queso mozarrella rallado
  • Albahaca fresca o seca al gusto
  • Salsa pomodoro
  • 1 Lata de tomates enteros en su jugo
  • 3 Cucharadas de aceite de oliva
  • 1 Cucharada de azúcar blanca
  • 1 Cucharada de vinagre balsámico Heinz
  • ½ Cebolla blanca picadita
  • 3 Hojas de albahaca fresca
  • 1 Diente de ajo
  • 1 Cucharadita de sal
  • ½ Cucharadita de pimienta
  • 1 Cucharadita de orégano seco (opcional)

Preparación

  1. Precalentar el horno a 350 grados F / 175 grados C.
  2. Lo primero a realizar serán las canastitas de pan.
  3. Cortar los bordes del pan y con los dedos o un rodillo, muy suavemente, aplanar la rebanada haciéndola más delgada y manejable.
  4. Luego colocar en los moldes para pastelillos o cupcakes presionando en el fondo y haciendo forma de canastitas, llevar al horno por unos 7-10 a minutos.
  5. Hasta que doren y estén crujientes.
  6. Retirar del horno y dejar en el molde.
  7. Rellenar las canastitas de pan con la salsa de pizza y por arriba colocar en partes iguales el queso cheddar y el mozzarella.
  8. Incorporar un toque de albahaca y llevar al horno por unos 5-7 minutos hasta que el queso derrita.
  9. Salsa Pomodoro:
  10. Llevar a calentar una sartén profunda o una ollita, y agregar el aceite de oliva, seguido incorporar la cebolla y luego el ajo (aplastado).
  11. Bajar el fuego y cocinar por unos 2 minutos.
  12. Añadir los tomates (previamente triturados, se puede hacer con las manos o cortándolos en pedazos grandes y uniformes).
  13. Mezclar bien con la cebolla y el ajo, agregar la sal y la pimienta, el vinagre balsámico y el azúcar.
  14. Mezclar bien.
  15. Bajar el fuego y llevar a hervir, agregar la albahaca y retirar del fuego.
  16. De usar orégano incorporarlo junto con la albahaca.
