Tarta Rústica de Cebollas Caramelizadas y Blue Cheese

Ingredientes

  • 1 Taza de harina
  • 1 Barra de mantequilla en cubos fría
  • 1/4-1/2 Taza de agua fría
  • 2 Cucharadas de aceite de oliva
  • 4 Tazas de cebolla blanca en medias ruedas
  • 1 Cucharada de azúcar parda
  • 2 Cucharadas de vinagre balsámico
  • ½ Cucharadita de sal
  • ½ Cucharadita de pimienta
  • ½ Taza de blue cheese Castello
  • 2 Cucharadas de tomillo
  • 1-2 Tomates lonjeados en ruedas finas

Preparación

  1. Colocar la mantequilla, el harina y la sal en un bowl.
  2. Batir hasta que queden pedacitos de harina y mantequilla que asemejen lentejas.
  3. Agregar poco a poco el agua fría necesaria para compactar.
  4. No amasar.
  5. Dejar reposar por mínimo una hora en la nevera, cubierta en papel plástico.
  6. Aparte, en una sartén a fuego medio sofreír la cebolla con el aceite de oliva por 10 minutos.
  7. Agregar el azúcar, el vinagre balsámico, la sal y la pimienta y dejar cocinar por 20-25 minutos a fuego lento.
  8. Se puede agregar un poco de agua si se resecan las cebollas.
  9. Colocar en un bowl para que se refresquen.
  10. Abrir la masa en forma rectangular o redonda y colocar sobre una bandeja plana con papel para hornear.
  11. Pasarle el rodillo de púas o hacer hoyitos con un tenedor para que no suba de  forma desigual.
  12. Esparcir las cebollas caramelizadas, el queso blue cheese Castello, el tomillo y decorar con las ruedas de tomate.
  13. Llevar al horno por 20-25 minutos hasta que dore y se cocine la masa. Horno 350F.
