Trenza de pan con semillas de auyama de mi tierra

Ingredientes

  • 3 y ¾ tazas de harina de fuerza o para pan
  • 2 cucharaditas de sal
  • 1 huevo
  • 1 cucharada de levadura en polvo
  • 3 cucharaditas de miel
  • 1 taza de leche tibia
  • 4 cucharadas de mantequilla derretida
  • Semillas de auyama tostadas

Preparación

  1. En un bol, mezclar la miel, la levadura, la mantequilla y la leche, y dejar que repose unos 15 minutos.
  2. Reservar.
  3. En otro envase, poner la harina y unirla con la sal.
  4. Hacer un hueco en el centro y agregar el huevo; mezclar bien y poco a poco agregarle la leche hasta integrarla bien.
  5. Poner esta masa sobre una superficie enharinada y trabajarla hasta conseguir un bollo suave y elástico.
  6. Poner en un tazón limpio, cubrir con papel film y dejar subir por 2 horas.
  7. Engrasar una bandeja para hornear.
  8. Aparte, golpear la masa para desgasificarla y dividirla en tres partes iguales.
  9. Formar cada porción en unos rollos largos y delgados.
  10. Toma los rollos y forma una trenza.
  11. Al final, cubre los extremos sin apretar.
  12. Dejar reposar el pan otros 30 minutos cubierto con film transparente.
  13. Precalentar el horno a 375ºF.
  14. Pintar la trenza con yema de huevo para darle brillo y color, y espolvorear con semillas de auyama tostadas.
  15. Hornear entre 30 y 40 minutos hasta dorar.
  16. Dejar enfriar.
